The house was completely rebuilt in 2012. The task was to enlarge and adapt the house to an office function while maintaining its residential purpose. The building was enlarged to 300 m2, gaining an interesting and unique appearance. The front elevation was demolished and completely glazed. All partition walls were removed from three mezzanines and partially replaced with sheets of safety glass. Thanks to the difference in levels, it was possible to maintain a clear division of functions while creating the impression of one open space throughout the house. The effect is enhanced by the huge amount of light that enters the interior through the front windows and the partially glazed roof.

Oak boards, gray split gneiss and black basalt were used to finish the interior. The protruding and angled façade extension and the added entrance with a carport give the whole a very modernist character and emphasize the original appearance of the house.
